Thanks for your reply and clarificaiton about what job expiration means.
Ok but what about my questions regarding
Once "Expiration date" is set, You can only change the date but cannot remove it
And likewise once "Closing date" is set, it cannot be removed.
Aren't they incorrect actions?
And now please also answer to my other question.
The theme option says.
"Set the Apply for Job expiry date. If left blank will automatically get the Job's Expiration Date"I deliberately left it blank (like below) to see what happened. Nothing happened as a result.
-------------------------------------------
*Publish date: Oct 2nd 2022.
*Expiration date: Oct 29th 2022.
*Closing date: blank
-------------------------------------------This setting above didn't automatically get Job's expiration date (Oct 29th 2022) and the job page still says publish date only "2022-10-2" Not closing.
Could you test this action on your end?
2 years, 1 month ago in reply to: I have my own PO file but it wasn’t created from POT but en_US.po #1219392Thanks Jackie for your response.
Yes, anything in child theme isn't going to be overwritten. That is obvious...
But my question is not about that....
(I think the main topic is lost in this thread. Please follow the original question)
Below is my original quesiton. How I can merge my own language PO (ja.po) with your PO or POT when there is an update on the main POT in the future.
When there is a update on POT file (thus en_US.po file), can I merge that into my ja.po file?
I am worried because it wasn't generated from the original POT file but "en_US.po" file.Thank you.
I think it is "re-post" or its related function that is causing this error. This morning I didn't duplicate a job but just pressed "re-post" icon and encounter the fatal error again.
But also if trying to " delete" duplicated post also give you an error. Then it is all start from duplicated job post maybe. Unless it's duplicated, the re-post icon should not appear, shouldn't it?
It would be great if you could support this as soon as possible.
Thank you.

Is it right action as well? I am very confused...

You can only change the date but cannot remove it (to make it blank)Yet, I still don't know what this Expiration date does....
By the way, "Closing date" also cannot be removed (to make it blank) as well once it's entered.
Is it the right action?
Please help
Hi Jackie,
I understood perfectly!
2 years, 1 month ago in reply to: I have my own PO file but it wasn’t created from POT but en_US.po #1219364Hi Jackie,
Thanks for your support.
While I understand why you said this "/themes/noo-jobmonster/language. That folder will overwrite when you update the theme", do I have to worry because my PO/MO file is located at "/themes/noo-jobmonster-child/languages/" don't I? Do I really have to move it to wp-content/languages/themes/?
Child theme language location is working fine. Please find the attached.
Also please note that the language is Japanese so the file is ja.po / mo which your theme's original translation folder does not include.
My question is if I can merge a new English (base language) strings into my ja.po file because it wasn't generated from the original POT file but "en_US.po" file.

Once it is remote, I will let you know but the site I am making is non-English site so it might be difficult to navigate...
Having said that, I appreciate it if you could just type the key phrase which I have brought up in POT file, you know it doesn't exist.
So you could start investigating it by yourself without looking at my site as well.

I found another one.
Please take a look at the attached.

2 years, 1 month ago in reply to: How can I translate “search by candidate” placeholder text? #1219352I think other tooltip text for text input fields are the same.
For example for the section to upload resume file that says "no file chosen" when mouse is hover
I couldn't find inside PO string to translate...2 years, 1 month ago in reply to: How can I translate “search by candidate” placeholder text? #1219350Also this...
This is not a placeholder it is more like a tooltip.
Not only for email but password as well as security captcha field all show
"Please fill out this field."I couldn't take screenshot because the tooltip disappear so I took a picture instead..
I want to translate this section but not inside PO file

It means even the candidate who created that resume cannot see it. I want the candidate who is a creator of the resume to see but not other candidates.
This function is part of the theme functionality but just for the resume description section. Anything above that section that shows resume title, avatar and info is always published.

I attach the page. I removed my own PO file so it's all in English for you to see.
I have one more attachment for a similar or related topic. I could create a new ticket but let me share..
Is is found in the resume posting page for candidate. They are logged in and on "2" phase but the subtitle still says "Login or create an account".
It would be great if you could look into it.
Thank you again!Attachments:

Thanks your support!
Ok I understand, Candidate can still edit the resume to make changes but cannot reflect that changes on the actual resume they submitted.
Am I correct?
The submitted resume is not like a static email where once sent/received that is it (no change) but just a webpage where candidates make changes if they want. That is why there is a resume refresh limitation?
This is little confusing because the resume is on dynamic webpage not static email. Why although candidates edit and update but submitted resume (or displayed / available resume online) doesn't pickup or reflect that changes on it? Is it like a cacheing ? So resume refreshing is like a button to clear the old cache?
2 years, 1 month ago in reply to: I have my own PO file but it wasn’t created from POT but en_US.po #1219344Hi Jackie,
Thanks for your reply.
The system folder means "/themes/noo-jobmonster/languages" right?
At this stage, I have the translated PO (& MO) inside the child theme language folder and it is working fine.
"/themes/noo-jobmonster-child/languages"My question was in not to get overwritten automatically and lost the translated text when the theme update happens. I always back up translated PO file somewhere as well but I want to be able to merge the updated main en_US PO file with my language PO file. This way I can keep applying a new translation (if there is a new line of text) added by the theme creator).
I hope this makes sense.
2 years, 1 month ago in reply to: Hide resume title, avator, author information from public view #1219343Thaks Jackie,
230 to 690 of the heading.php was the one I modified using the child theme. And it works.
So now unless logged in, the resume title, avatar and name of the person of the single resume page don't display which is really good. However what I want to do is limit a logged-in candidate capability NOT to see other candidate's information, although they can not see the what's inside "resume-desc" div. I want to hide resume title, avatar and info too.
2 years, 1 month ago in reply to: Hide resume title, avator, author information from public view #1219336Hi There,
After creating another candidate user, as I thought this candidate can see other candidate's resume's information (only title, avatar and name though).
I use "is_user_logged_in()"... then of course all logged-in user can see.
What I want to do here is to further limit their capability. All employers can see all once they logged in. That is no problem but candidates shouldn't be able to unless that is his/her own resume.
It would be amazing if you could tell me the piece of code included here.
Thank you.
2 years, 1 month ago in reply to: Hide resume title, avator, author information from public view #1219335I could solve this by overwriting "heading.php" inside layout folder created in the child theme.
Now unless logged in, title, avatar and name are hidden.
However I am not sure if these sections of the single resume can be seen by anyone who logged in.
Employers or recruiters yes, should see all the information once they are logged in, but not other candidates.
I will have to create another candidate user to see....
