Good evening. I was wondering if it was possible to only restrict the search capabilities to one state and not have the ability for companies to add other locations?
thank you,
Howard

4 years, 9 months ago #1082243Hi,
So what I am trying to do is just have this job search website for a single state. I don't want people from out of the state to be able to set up a company and post jobs out of the state. I would also like it to be just a statewide search and not for individual city/towns. Is it possible to just have the location default to the state and can not be changed? I hope that makes sense.
Thanks
Howard
4 years, 9 months ago #1082251Hi,
- If you only want users to search across states then in Job Location you should enter only across states you want.
- To not allow users to enter the job "location" you go to Jobmonster -> Custom field -> job_location -> column "Field Type", you choose 2 types "Multiple Location" or "Single Location" instead of the other 2 types .

4 years, 9 months ago #1082366Thank you very much. For the first part above, searching across only 1 state, what is the state slug used for and/or where is it used?
For the second part about not allowing users to enter new locations. If I put single location, and put only the state I want in the Field Value box, will that state be the default and only option?
Thank you,
Howard

I don't understand what you mean. You can create Location here: http://prntscr.com/qdcfn8
It is mainly used for Job search and CV search.
- If you use the field "job_location", you should create location via Job Location as above instead of use Field Value box.
When you choose "Single Location" then user only select 1 location in the location list you created.
