Question about searching jobs by distance

Hi,

I'm just looking at the option to search jobs by distance (this is in the sidebar of the jobs list, not on the job map); I'm guessing the distance slider relates to the Postal Code field? I'm wondering how this works?

• searcher puts their own postcode into postal code
• scales slider to a commutable distance
• jobs list shows jobs within that range

Is this correct?

Thanks for contacting us. 

The Postal Code field works independently and has nothing to do with distance.

The search jobs by distance will scan all jobs within the radius you have selected. For example, if you choose where you live and scan within 10km then it will scan all jobs within 10km from where you choose.

Out of interest, what is the purpose of the addition of the default Postal Code field?
