Our website lost password link is not working - displaying a 'Page Not Found'.
Previous posts have talked about it but we aren't sure what the solution was.
Please could you let us know? Thanks

Please read my answer above.
The cause of the problem is that you have overwritten Jobmonster's core file (eg: noo_member.php).
I don't know why you overwrite the files in the framework directory.
Because we will have updates for these files, and it has not been updated on your override.
(If you activate Parent Theme, this function will normal works)
--> You need to update the latest file for the files you have overwritten.
Best regards,
tb.

I understand that it is to do with the modification to the framework directory - this modification was done by your team as our request.
Please can you look at this again? We cannot simply go to the Parent theme as we will lose all our modification which is not an option for us.
Its not clear to me why the framework modification you put in would stop the lost password function working.
Please can you explain and look at this issue again?
Thanks,
4 years, 2 months ago #1083815Hi,
Because you have overwritten the noo_member.php file with child Theme, so if we have any update or fixbug in this file from parent theme it will not be updated to the file in Child Theme (The theme always runs the file from the Child Theme instead of the parent theme). This has led to the above error.
I am not sure what customizations you make from this file.
Can you tell me?

We have been customising several sections so we aren't actually sure what might be raising the issue.Could you confirm that the issue is in the customization of Child Theme - at framework/admin/noo_member.php ?
If that is the case would it be possible for you to send through the standard code for that php file so that we can compare what we have and check where the customisation has been made?
Thanks
4 years, 2 months ago #1083878Hi,
You only need to compare the file noo_member.php in parent theme and child theme.

Posts: 40Okay we now understand this. Thank you - we've compared the code for the parent theme and the child theme and can see what changes have been made.
For us to receive your theme updates do we need the child theme to have exactly the same content in the framework/admin/noo_member.php file as the parent theme? (just checking we understand this)
Thanks
4 years, 2 months ago #1083921Hi,
I think you should not overwrite files from framework directory. This is the core function directory of Jobmonster. When we update the function to this file. It will not be updated on your site==> it may cause an error.
Best regards,
tb.
