Hi, NooTheme support!!
Hope you've been having a nice weekend by now.
Today, I'm bringing an issue that I detected just now in order for it fixed as soon as possible.
As a job site, I keep working on posting new vacancies on a daily basis to make it full of new job opportunities every single day for my users.
Users may need it filled with new job openings and fresh contents when they visit my site in every often time. And that would be one of the most crucial factors that gives users a reason why they should visit my website every often time or even every single day to keep up with new info and job vacancies.
While I'm thinking of it as the most important factor for my users, today I noticed that there's a serious issue regarding on "Recent Jobs tab". I guess it's perhaps something relating to the code and programming on it.
I saw it's not promptly auto updated on the Recent Job posting section when I post new job posts on the site and every new job postings are not seen in the listing at all unless you do manually refresh the page (home page).
Okay, I would need to give an example for you to get what's going on with the issue there, more clearly.
This is my website and the problematic area was screenshoted here:
https://prnt.sc/ms4yoxEvery new and recent posts (job vacancies) are curated there. And the order is newest to oldest vertically.
And when I post new jobs, it's supposed to show/curate the contents on the Recent Job Tap (Which is named # Fresh Remote Jobs On The Go on my website by my own)
However, any new job posts are not shown in the list at all every time I post new jobs unless the page is manually refreshed. So every user who visits my website every in a while would just see the old contents(old job postings) unless they bother refreshing the page and make it restored with new content info on their screen. They might just end up thinking that my site doesn't have any new updates at their first glance and just exit my site which is really bad to me.
Experiment done:
1. I post a new job content(opening) titled " Customer Success Representative (New Zealand) - Shopify"
Reference: https://prnt.sc/ms54j42. And I access my website and check on the Recent Jobs section and it just still shows "old job contents" like this SS: https://prnt.sc/ms4yox .
It's without my new content which was just posted, "Customer Success Representative (New Zealand) - Shopify". So every visitor who visits my site keeps seeing the old job posts without new ones updated. And it causes website visitors just to exit my site instantly without any engagement.
3. I manually refresh the homepage now and then it finally shows the recently updated new job post like the SS: https://prnt.sc/ms567a
NOTE: I have done functionality test in terms of the "Recent Jobs" section with different computers and people riding in different regions worldwide.
I asked them to visit my site and go check on the recent jobs section after I updated a bunch of new job posts and they just said what they had seen were just old contents (old job postings without newly updated posts I made before their visit)
And ANOTHER NOTE is: funnily it properly shows all the recent job postings to people who FIRST visit my site, who has gotten NO ANY cookies and caches from my website. Only in that case, it works properly, loading all the freshest info from my site to display all the new contents in their screen.
BUT the PROBLEM occurs WHEN THEY VISIT/ACCESS MY SITE after their first visit. They just see old contents even though new job postings have been posted/updated. (on the Recent Jobs section)
I guess it has some issue on loading the recent info/content in "Recent Jobs" tap. Perhaps the code is wrongly set inside there, I guess.
This seems a really important issue that I have to fix ASAP.
To be double sure, I'm talking about this = [noo_jobs display="recent" posts_per_page="10" show_pagination="no" visibility="all" show="recent" title_type="job_count"]

Thanks for contacting us.
We understood your question but Jobmonster theme is written from PHP language. This language doesn't support to update information immediately like Facebook.
We are really sorry but there is no way for your issues 🙁 In case, we think you should remind your users that they should refresh your website often.
Thanks for your understanding.
Best Regards,
NooTheme
5 years, 9 months ago #1069613Hi,
But it's not even a matter of "immediate". It actually doesn't update it at all without refreshing it manually.
Like all the old contents as old as 5 days are still hanging on the first page of the "Recent Jobs" section in my browser just for all the last 5 days since my last manual refresh on the page.
But did you know this thing that it's actually auto updated on the job lists when you're entering through "Job Categories"?? (Reference: https://prnt.sc/msxcgo)
It's just auto updated immediately as quick as one second after I posted something new.
Isn't it also written in PHP as well? And I don't get it well when the auto updating works on one specific page and doesn't on the other page under the same language, PHP.
Your suggestion is good. I also thought of that before, just reminding users to update the page manually. But the fact isn't changed that no matter how noticeable I make a note or reminder for them, visitors, especially first-time visitors are not really that thoroughly checking all over and aware of all things of my site in detials and they end up just exiting my site quickly. It just cause it to lose lots of visitors just because it's not auto updating supported.
I think there are some ways that you can make it work. Otherwise I cannot really use your theme because I already gave up on and sacrificed a lot of functions that don't work under Noo Theme job monster, which I actually really need for my website..
Need your help really. Give it a second thought please.
Looking forward to your more positive answer.
5 years, 9 months ago #1069620And some people say it can be solved. The PHP load issue.
Particularly one person who knows my problem also said that he can solve it by creating PHP posts ajax load script.
5 years, 9 months ago #1069678This reply has been marked as private.5 years, 9 months ago #1069683Okay That'd be really great if you could update it in the near future..
The Recent Job posting is a really important part where my visitors give the first look at and get the entire look and feel about my job site and how often new contents are updated. If they misunderstand that the site is neglect just because of the improper PHP load and every new content just not seen only due to the code, and the site admins including me wouldn't feel so fruitful of our hard jobs on the daily updates and new contents for users..
Please seriously consider it...It's really one important part...
Really looking forward to your positive decision on the new update with that issue..
And thank you for the advice about how to make it prioritized with feature jobs..
Appreciate it.
5 years, 9 months ago #1069738Hi,
After you turn off the "Sort by Featured Jobs" option. Has the recent work been working normally?
(Error when user login and not see new job after reloading the site?)
