As you know, WordPress has loads of hidden functions in the Screen Options section of multiple Administration Pages. Some WordPress users may not notice these functions so we received many questions from our customers asking how to open a WordPress Menu Link in a New Tab while we were providing technical support. Therefore, today we will guide you how to do that with just a few simple steps, please follow it carefully!

Step 1:

Click on Appearance> Menus in the WordPress dashboard

 

Step 2:

Look for the Screen Options drop down menu in the top right corner of your browser window.

Step 3:

Under Show advanced menu properties tick the Link Target checkbox.

Step 4:

Click on Open link in a new tab checkbox. Done! Now you can decide if your menu item opens in same window or new tab.
