Will you fix this? Featured Jobs are a feature of your theme - so it should not break the layout, right?
May be you should get your demo sorted - there is no valid example online how jobmonster should work. Other websites using Jobmonster are old or out of business. I have downloaded the latest theme and the filters (sidebar) do load under the results and on click on the filter icon nothing happens. Like in your demo.
Thanks.
Can you show me a website that uses Jobmonster at a large scale with >1000 jobs? Many of your customers never seriously publish their websites as a business. We get feedback every day that the search doesnt work as it should and produces bad search results. And we see in google analytics how fast people drop out because the filters are not on top of the page and Location Search confuses.
Honestly - to make the top search work different and use different fields than the sidebar search is confusing. And there is no reason for it.
Thanks for a fix!
GabrielAgain: I think the default theme should use what is set in the customizer - otherwise this setting makes no sense. Can you please fix this bug? I have no access to the php files.
I think the default theme should use what is set in the customizer - otherwise this setting makes no sense. I have no coding skills.
Honestly - your answer makes no sense to me at all. You prefer a very bad user experience because the header might not look so good? Using the widget on the top of a landing page supports the field - so why not the job listing page? There is many ways to solve this like having an "expand" button for further filters and still I can delete another field so it is still 2-3 fields. But not allowing the most important field makes absolutely no sense.
So are you serious about this?
The Demo Import was broken when I bought the theme like 2 years ago and I updated today to the new theme. Still the Demo does not work - most of the imported links in the menus for example are leading to the noothemes online Demo and so on. This Theme is full of Bugs and with one fixed Bug you get 3 new ones.
What do you mean? How can the search in the top work different than the search in a sidebar? Visitors do not understand that behavior. Why cant you add the distance field to the top search like in the horizontal version of the widget I can place on any site? Or make a widget spot on top of the joblist page.
Gabriel
Sorry I did not understand what you just said! I did explain my questions multiple times now - whats the problem here now? AGAIN:
You advertise a map search form and in your demo it is this page: http://wp.nootheme.com/jobmonster/search-map-home/ But it does NOT work. Once you search you are redirected to another page!
Jackie said: "Sorry, we just support the advanced search with map shortcode" -> What does that mean? Is there another way to search with the map?
5 years, 3 months ago in reply to: Job Package "No Download Resume Attach file" – Want to hide it from the list #1078574If I change the package the fifth element wont be the fifth anymore so this "hack" is realy not a good advise. Is there no way to disable this field at all?
Please send me the link to the demo page where I can use the map search. There is a page with a map on top (
http://wp.nootheme.com/jobmonster/search-map-home/ ) but no chance you can perform a search on this page as it is leading away from the map page to the standard search page once you use the search form. So it doesnt work for me at this point. This is connected to this post as well: https://nootheme.com/forums/topic/cannot-ad-job/
There is 2 different ways people are sent through the process of posting a job.
Again: "We have put a lot of time in getting the theme running and now it was a big surprise that the map search site is only eye candy/dummy but does not work." What are your plans here for the near future? The Map search is not working at all - still it is advertised. Or am I using it wrong?
Sorry found it - had to synch language files again. All good.
Hey there, so the display name is like a contact person? I didnt find a way to translate the field. How could I do that? Its not in the themes language file I think.
Thanks will do.
However why is there 2 pages? Post a job is leading to a page with 4 steps, the second step is to choose a package. So now the buy a package link could also go to that page but with the second step already checked. (Best case the choose a package step would be step first) That might make a better customer journey 🙂
Hey Jackie, can you clarify what that means? "we just support the advanced search with map shortcode"
We have put a lot of time in getting the theme running and now it was a big surprise that the map search site is only eye candy/dummy but does not work.
Best wishes!
This reply has been marked as private.Oh ok this is bad news as you advertise Map search and the DEMO Page has a map page also 🙁 Hopefully you can add this soon. There are many new job board themes this year and they all come with a user friendly map search.
This reply has been marked as private.Thanks. Would be great if the theme would offer the features that are advertised. I made suggestions above already: "The Problem is, that the Categories Widget sorts A-Z only and not by popularity. What makes the Categories "Popular"? You can check in your Demo as well. It should first get the most popular Categories (jobs count, views or other indicator) and then sort those A-Z or sort by same Indicator."
Oh you mean a 3rd party Plug in to fix the Jobmonster Issue? No this is not what I am looking for and it makes things more complicated. I would like to use the Jobmonster Widget as advertised to show "Popular Categrories". t says: "Popular Categories. " So there should be some smart calculation behind it.
Hey Tracy, we are running Jobboards for over 15 years now. We do have a sense for what most customers need to know (most times 🙂 Customers will not log in every day and check if the label has gone to "expired". They check once a week and would then like to know how long the job will be online and when it is time to discuss a renewal with their team/boss. So it helps planning. It is also part of a legal issu: They need to see what they paid for, the expiration date of the Job.
Feel free to add this as a UX Update. If not, its ok for us. We have our own developers in house to edit what you cannot.
Best wishes!
Hey thanks. Please make sure the code edits will be part of the next Update so we dont loose them.
2.) I dont see a third Widget. Also I dont see why it is not working as advertised. It says: "Popular Categories. " So there should be some smart calculation behind it.
Jackie thanks - if you have made any Changes to our Website we need to know. Please share what you modified to correct the count, otherwise we cannot grant access in the future.
"With the job listing issue, we don't see any job on your site." -> Yes I can pubish jobs, however that was not the issue. The Problem is, that the Categories Widget sorts A-Z only and not by popularity. What makes the Categories "Popular"? You can check in your Demo as well. It should first get the most popular Categories (jobs count, views or other indicator) and then sort those A-Z or sort by same Indicator. In my case, I can now add 50 Jobs to "Sales" and the Sales Category would still not show.
