I am wondering if you could create a custom code to have a specified "custom field" field value auto-select other field values within that same custom field.
I have a medical job board and my category is "State License." Some jobs allow any state license, some only 1 state, and some allow a "compact" license that includes several bundled states. I want the user to be able to select Compact and it automatically selects the specified states included in compact license, or "Any" and it auto-selects all 50 states.
This is specifically what I am looking for my custom field "State License" (state_license). I currently have it set on multi-select.
1) Field value: "Compact" auto-selects these field values: AZ, AR, CO, DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MS, MO, MT, NE, NH, NM, NC, ND, OK, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV, WI, WY
2) Field value: "All" auto-selects these field values: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY
I need this auto-select process to happen in both the home page search drop-down AND when the employer posts a job, so that they link up between the two. It would be if all these field values remained parent categories, but if this is not possible, then it could be Parent:Compact->Child: those states + Parent:All->Child:all 50 states + keep existing Parent field values for all 50 individual states.
