Is there a way to see the job expiration date in the dashboard of the Jobs? Where can an employer see the expiration date of the Job? At the Moment I only see the application deadline. Job was posted from backend and an expiration date was set.
5 years, 9 months ago #1072232Just for fun I did set the expiration date to yesterday - however the Job remains active! is this a Bug?

Thanks for contacting us.
Please make sure you have configured the close date of a job also.
Check it, then feedback us 🙂
Thank you.

5 years, 9 months ago #1072281Do you mean by close date the date for the end of applications? This should not control if the job post is active or not. The Employer can edit this and this way he could renew the job forever. I have set the Jobs expiration date - this should control the status active/expired or not?

Thanks for your feedback.
We are so sorry for the late response because we enjoyed a short holiday annually in our country so we cannot help you during that time.
We want to explain below: When posting job we supported 2 options including Expired Job and Close Date Job. Please see this image:Â https://prnt.sc/nchk2j
- For Expired Job: this is the date which a job is expired. After mark the status expired, this job can still display on your website or not, it depends on your configuration. You absolutely go to Customizer > Job & Company >Job List> Show Expired Job: On/Off
- Close Date: this is the date the job will be disappeared on your website. Your job is marked an expired status but it still displays because of your close date configuration.
We also got access to your website and saw your job, it seems that you have changed Close Date to Application Deadline, right?
Please check this feature again as our below explanation, then feedback us.
Thank you.

5 years, 9 months ago #1073040Hey, thanks for the info. I found the setting. I will play with it.
Still a Problem: "Is there a way to see the job expiration date in the dashboard of the Jobs? Where can an employer see the expiration date of the Job? At the Moment I only see the application deadline."Â The User should see when it is time to renew the package.
Best wishes

Thanks for your feedback.
1. You said "Is there a way to see the job expiration date in the dashboard of the Jobs? "
We are so sorry but we don't understand your question clearly. Because we also support to add Expiration date when creating a new job in Dashboard. https://prnt.sc/nglbwu If you want to mention to Expired Date in Employer Dashboard, you still see the status of job. Also, see this image: https://prnt.sc/nglbhz
2. Where can an employer see the expiration date of the Job?
We will discuss with our developer about it then try to find the best solution. Maybe, we will show the Expired Date also in Manager job page.
Please check, then feedback us.
Thank you.

5 years, 9 months ago #1073105Thanks for the Feedback. Let me try to clarify.
An Employer buys a package for 30 days and posts a job.
Employer sets Application Deadline to 90 days ahead.
Employer would like to know when the Job will end due to the limitation of the package and when it is time to think about a renewal. In The Dashboard (Manage Jobs) he only sees the Application Deadline but not the day, the Job will expire.
In the "manag Jobs" Dashboard it would just need another Column with the expiration date next to the application deadline column.

Thanks for your feedback.
Because in the Manage Jobs page, we also supported to display "job status". Thus, when your job is expired, the expired status will be shown to an employer easily realize this. As our opinion, it is not necessary for us to add Expired Date column in here
In addition, there are loads of columns in Manage Job. Therefore, the column width will small if you add more columns. They are the reasons why we don't add Expired Date here.
However, if you still want to show Expired Date column, we will try to discuss with our developer who can help with an extra fee.
Best Regards,

5 years, 8 months ago #1073209Hey Tracy, we are running Jobboards for over 15 years now. We do have a sense for what most customers need to know (most times 🙂 Customers will not log in every day and check if the label has gone to "expired". They check once a week and would then like to know how long the job will be online and when it is time to discuss a renewal with their team/boss. So it helps planning. It is also part of a legal issu: They need to see what they paid for, the expiration date of the Job.
Feel free to add this as a UX Update. If not, its ok for us. We have our own developers in house to edit what you cannot.
Best wishes!

Thanks for your feedback.
We are so sorry for the late response because we joined a long national holiday in our country so we cannot help you during that time.
We are very surprised about your experience and thanks for your contribution. In this case, we will consider it carefully then add Expired Date to Jobmonster theme in the future.
Thank you.
