Hi Jacky,
When a job seeker is creating a new job alert, I want to be able to add a Job location any job location as long as they are being registered in WordPress.
Especially when it comes to creating a new job alert. Users (job seekers) want to get new notifications for jobs that are not necessarily currently listed but in the future, there may be. For some users use the new job alert for this reason.
The job monster theme now only allows users to select job locations that are currently used/linked to existing jobs. I want users to be able to select a location that isn't being used(selected) now but in the future.
On the other hand, the resume alert for the employer role is able to select all the job locations being registered in WordPress regardless of their usage. I personally think both resume and job alert should be actioned in the same way for the job location.
The current situation is definitely odd which almost makes the noo job alert unusable for job seekers.
I would like you to give me the fix code (which file and section you modified) so that I can reflect it on my site.1 year, 9 months ago #1219922This reply has been marked as private.1 year, 9 months ago #1219923This reply has been marked as private.1 year, 9 months ago #1219944Hi.
Thank you for contacting us.
For the job alert location field, we have the option at JobMonster/ Settings/ Job/ hide empty taxonomy config: https://prnt.sc/WD2Xv-Krzyxy
If you uncheck this field, you will see the taxonomy with an empty value for the field select. Now you will see the location without a job for the job alert form.
Please recheck it.
Thanks.

I have helped you show all the locations and categories for the job alert form on the member page.
Please recheck it.
Thanks.

I have changed the source code at this file: /wp-content/themes/noo-jobmonster/layouts/forms/job_alert_form.php
You can move that file to the child theme to avoid the issue when updating the theme. We also include that change to our theme in the next update.
Thanks.
