Homepage issues please help!

Hi,

I urgently need an answer to my questions.

1. The text in the navigation bar on homepage is not changing to the colour I have set it to. All the other pages have changed colour expect the home page the text is still white.

2. I would like to add a transparent background to the navigation bar on the homepage and heading on the homepage above the job search field to make the text send out. There is a transparent background behind the job search field. See the screenshot attached, for you to see what I am referring to.

How can I add the transparent background like to the navigation bar like the one behind the job search field?

As an interim solution I has to change the colour of the home page image, so you can see the navigation bar text and the text on the homepage. See attached the
