Hey there,
I am in the customizer at the joblisting setting. There I can set a search form to display. The field for search by distance is missing! I have that field only in the search widget and filter widget. This confuses people.

Best regards.
4 years, 4 months ago #1205465What do you mean? How can the search in the top work different than the search in a sidebar? Visitors do not understand that behavior. Why cant you add the distance field to the top search like in the horizontal version of the widget I can place on any site? Or make a widget spot on top of the joblist page.

4 years, 4 months ago #1205490The Search on header only support search by Location, Category and Adress, it not support all fields like Noo Advance Search widget, because when support many fields, that will break header style.
Best regards.
4 years, 4 months ago #1205501Honestly - your answer makes no sense to me at all. You prefer a very bad user experience because the header might not look so good? Using the widget on the top of a landing page supports the field - so why not the job listing page? There is many ways to solve this like having an "expand" button for further filters and still I can delete another field so it is still 2-3 fields. But not allowing the most important field makes absolutely no sense.
So are you serious about this?
4 years, 4 months ago #1205533Dear.
I very serious. 4k customers use Jobmonster but no one asked about search by distance field in header. In current version, the Jobmonster not support add custom field for header search, we're will add support add custom field for search form in header in next update version to help you add search by distance to search form in header via custom code.
Best regards.
4 years, 4 months ago #1205540Thanks.
Can you show me a website that uses Jobmonster at a large scale with >1000 jobs? Many of your customers never seriously publish their websites as a business. We get feedback every day that the search doesnt work as it should and produces bad search results. And we see in google analytics how fast people drop out because the filters are not on top of the page and Location Search confuses.
Honestly - to make the top search work different and use different fields than the sidebar search is confusing. And there is no reason for it.
Thanks for a fix!
Gabriel4 years, 2 months ago #1207167Hi there,
I absolutely agree with BVGabriel: there has to be a distance filter option on the search at job listing page!!!
You please get that feature in for the next update. Hope it will be released soon!
Kind regards, Gunther
4 years, 2 months ago #1207184I also agree there needs to be an option for distance filter on the .job-advanced-search - all major job portal offer this.
