Hello, I just noted a weird issue with the Hermosa Child Theme: changing the child theme name will cause it to fail loading many elements in the home page (it's not my first time using noo themes, i'm seeing many shortcodes on the frontend, and i could guess those shortcodes are from the noo timetable plugin)
the issue is actually caused by the child theme name, changing a single letter will cause the problem, and setting it back to original makes everything working again..
i understand it's a relatively limited problem, but it's just "impossible" to change the child theme name, and this is actually preventing to have more than 1 child theme available for slight variations on the various versions, and the fix should be an easy thing
please let us know something =) (i'm mostly using child themes for css, but some php too.. so this will be crucial developing this website)
thanks

Best regards.
4 years, 5 months ago #1204289Please at least take care to check issues raised by customers instead of replying with a sort-of-default answers in a rush, it's useless and we will both waste time if you do that
as you can clearly see on the video linked in this second message, this has absolutely nothing to do with wpbakery page builder, the plugin is installed and working as expected (or you wouldn't even see the page layout, just "unformatted txt including shortcodes".. anyway, you can see the wpbakery button on the wordpress toolbar, just in case)
as i already wrote in the previous message, the issue appears simply changing the child theme name (even a single letter is enough), and setting the name back to default makes everything working again
I'm using 3 wordpress noo themes already (one is yogi, nearly identical to hermosa) i'm not a first-timer here and i'm working on wordpress since more than 10 years even developing some child themes, i guess i have an idea of what i am talking about, not all your users are shallow users not even taking care to read documentation
4 years, 5 months ago #1204316Dear, i have check again i see that problem because NOO Hermosa Core plugin validate theme name to work, If you want change theme name, please delete NOO Hermosa Core plugin on your site then go to menu 'Appearance -> Install Plugins' and install NOO Hermosa Core plugin again, then you can change theme name.
Best regards.
4 years, 5 months ago #1204349Hello, let me start apologizing for being a bit too rude in the previous msg: I had a long day and spent some hours explaining a tech support a bug in their own online banking app, i had to waste 3 hours just proofing them the bug, reproducing it while screen-recording their app to show the wrong behaviour.. i was a bit tired of spending time demonstrating a tech support their own app issues because they assumed i didn't even understand how to use it
about our issue: reinstalling the Hermosa core after installing a differently named child theme worked perfectly, just add a note like "if you change the child theme name, don't forget to reinstall the Hermosa Core plugin!" it in the docs and nobody will probably ever ask again about this
thanks, we're done with this!
