Hey - when editing the homepage I have copied from the demo the Category Grid List. In German it is called something like Most popular Categories. I can set hide empty and so on in wpbakery but it is showing the Categories from A-Z. It does not sort by "most popular". Like showing the Categories first, that have most Jobs.

5 years, 7 months ago #1073115Hi again.
We have checked and fixed the company jobs count issue on your site.
With the job listing issue, we don't see any job on your site.
Please check it again.
Thanks.
5 years, 7 months ago #1073132Jackie thanks - if you have made any Changes to our Website we need to know. Please share what you modified to correct the count, otherwise we cannot grant access in the future.
"With the job listing issue, we don't see any job on your site." -> Yes I can pubish jobs, however that was not the issue. The Problem is, that the Categories Widget sorts A-Z only and not by popularity. What makes the Categories "Popular"? You can check in your Demo as well. It should first get the most popular Categories (jobs count, views or other indicator) and then sort those A-Z or sort by same Indicator. In my case, I can now add 50 Jobs to "Sales" and the Sales Category would still not show.
5 years, 7 months ago #1073187Hi again.
1. With the company jobs count: we have changed the code at file wp-content/themes/noo-jobmonster/framework/functions/noo-utilities.php function noo_company_job_count().
2. With the job categories widget, we have get the category by the order. If you want to change the category order, please use the 3rd plugin ( Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order ). Then you can order the category as you want. It will get the same list to front-end.
Thanks.
5 years, 7 months ago #1073208Hey thanks. Please make sure the code edits will be part of the next Update so we dont loose them.
2.) I dont see a third Widget. Also I dont see why it is not working as advertised. It says: "Popular Categories. " So there should be some smart calculation behind it.
5 years, 7 months ago #1073295Yes, you can get the 3rd plugin at this link https://wordpress.org/plugins/taxonomy-terms-order/
Please check it again.
Thanks.
5 years, 7 months ago #1073298Oh you mean a 3rd party Plug in to fix the Jobmonster Issue? No this is not what I am looking for and it makes things more complicated. I would like to use the Jobmonster Widget as advertised to show "Popular Categrories". t says: "Popular Categories. " So there should be some smart calculation behind it.

Thanks for contacting us.
We are so sorry for the late response because we took part in a long national holiday in our country so we cannot help you during that time.
For your question: Currently, we haven't integrated the order feature as your desired so you can try to use a third party plugin to help. In this case, we also note your question in our list and try to make it in Jobmonster theme in the future.
If you have any question or suggestion, please share them with us then we will try to consider it to adding in Jobmonster theme.
Thank you so much.

5 years, 6 months ago #1073540Thanks. Would be great if the theme would offer the features that are advertised. I made suggestions above already: "The Problem is, that the Categories Widget sorts A-Z only and not by popularity. What makes the Categories "Popular"? You can check in your Demo as well. It should first get the most popular Categories (jobs count, views or other indicator) and then sort those A-Z or sort by same Indicator."
